Thom Browne’s fall/winter collection for men is beautiful and surreal with wild animals made out of traditional menswear fabrics and camouflaged hunters ,preying on them.
The first part of the show was focused on animals and models were dressed in grey tweeds, plaids and flannels with lots of outside stitches and trimmed edges on suits and coats. They wore fantastic head pieces made by Stephen Jones Hats are impeccably tailored and shaped like elephants, bears, rabbits, deers, eagles and other animals. The second part was dedicated to hunters who wore inflated suits covered with oak leaf print. The same pattern appears on shoes, socks, shirts, ties and even on faces.
This collection captures the essence of fall through the choice of colors, prints, fabrics and the theme itself. Even though Brown played with proportions, it is in fact a good blend of conceptual art and high fashion, since most of the pieces from this collection are perfectly wearable.
