Pre-Fall Collections: 50 Shades of Grey

From warm tweed coats to evening dresses, grey is the perfect color for fall and winter. There are countless ways to wear grey and it goes well with all other colors. It can look smart and classical, but also modern and casual. The new way of wearing it is to mix it with bright colors.

While Giorgio Armani’s pre-fall collection features plenty of grey pieces blended with pink, red, green and blue, Karl Lagerfeld used colors for stitching fabrics for his Fendi pre-fall collection. Antonio Berardi contrasted grey fabrics with red accessories, and Sonia Rykiel used red for knitwear to brighten up the styling.

Sharon Wauchob and Nanette Lepore decorated grey skirts and jackets with colorful embroidery, while Markus Lupfer used floral patterned fabrics to make collage slogans for grey sweaters. Mulberry pre-fall 2014 collection includes coats, jackets, sweaters and dresses in soft grey and they are nicely matched with boots ad shoes in nude color, while Dsquared2 and Ports 1961 mixed grey with black and white and made it look very serious and elegant.
