Damien Hirst for Alexander McQueen

Controversial British artist Damien Hirst teamed with yet another big label to design fashion accessories. After interesting collaboration with Muccia Prada on a collection of insect handbags, he designed 30 scarves for Alexander McQueen brand. Collaboration was announced earlier this year and the collection was eagerly awaited for.

Hirst combined butterfly motifs from his entomology series with McQueen skull print in the collection which is very sophisticated, artistic and colourful. He used fabrics such as chiffon, pongé, twill and cashmere for his psychedelic kaleidoscopic prints, and the final result really is impressive. Limited edition collection of scarves will be available from www.alexandermcqueen.com from November 15.
